PALUSOL^® 100 and PALUSOL^® 104 are intumescent boards based on sodium silicate, reinforced with glass fibre and coated on both sides with epoxy resin. They provide reliable fire protection by expanding at temperatures from approx. 100 °C and forming a heat-resistant, thermally insulating foam layer. The foam seals gaps and joints, thereby preventing the passage of smoke, heat and flames. PALUSOL^® 100 has a thickness of 1.9 mm ± 0.4 mm, whereas PALUSOL^® 104 is thicker (3.6 mm ± 0.6 mm), allowing for different fields of application. The boards are asbestos-free. They are ideally suited for fire-resistant doors, fire dampers and other passive fire protection applications in buildings.
