PALUSOL® P and PM are intumescent fire protection materials based on sodium silicate that expand to form a microporous, fire-resistant protective layer when exposed to heat. The materials are provided with a special protective layer to protect them against moisture and environmental influences. They are ideal for use in fire-resistant constructions (such as doors), as they create a thermal barrier to prevent the passage of flames and smoke. PALUSOL® P and PM are easy to work and install, resistant to moisture and provide long-term protection.
