FIRESTOP 700 is a specialist, high-temperature silicone sealant developed to withstand extreme thermal conditions. The sealant remains elastic and thick throughout a wide temperature range, usually stretching from -60 °C to +260 °C and sometimes even beyond that. It is particularly suitable for applications in which seals are continuously exposed to high temperatures or significant temperature fluctuations.
Fields of application
- Fire-rated glazing systems in doors and windows
- Sealing of expansion joints in fire-resistant walls and façades
- Sealing of pipe and cable penetrations in fire-resistant structures
- Fire protection in public buildings, industrial facilities and residential buildings
- Used in fire-resistant ceiling and floor penetration seals
- Fire protection in façade and window constructions
Properties
- Fire-resistant silicone sealant, tested for fire resistance durations of one to four hours
- Neutral curing, no primer required, adheres to most building materials
- Absorbs movement of up to ±50% of the joint width
- Low smoke development and low toxicity in the event of fire
- Excellent resistance to weather (ozone,
- UV radiation, temperature fluctuations)
- Halogen-free, durable and highly stable in form
