In the door and window industry, heat-resistant adhesives are mainly used in the manufacture of fire-rated glazings and fire-resistant seals as well as for bonding coating layers.
- Sealing of joints and gaps: Fire-rated adhesives seal joints and gaps between door/window frames and the surrounding wall. This prevents fire and smoke from penetrating through small openings.
- Fastening in place of fire-rated glass: Fire-rated adhesives are used to securely install fire-rated glass in doors or windows. They prevent the glass from falling out, even at high temperatures.
- Installation of intumescent strips: Intumescent strips are attached to doors and windows by means of fire-rated adhesives. The strips swell when exposed to heat so as to effectively seal any gaps.

- Fastening of seals: Fire-rated adhesives are used to install special intumescent seals on doors and windows. These seals prevent the penetration of smoke and hot gas.
