The SAERTEX LEO^® COATED FABRIC material is a perfect example: it is a non-woven glass fibre fabric (non-crimp fabric or NCF) with an integrated fire protection coating that expands in the event of a fire, forming an insulating barrier (intumescent effect). This material is not only exceptionally lightweight and flexible thanks to its excellent deformability, but it also meets the most stringent fire protection requirements. As such, it has become the material of choice for fire-proofing composites in the aeronautics sector.
